Think of a doula as your dedicated birth coach, advocate, and steady support system rolled into one. While your medical team is focused on a healthy clinical delivery, I am there strictly for you and your partner. I provide continuous physical comfort (like massage, counter-pressure, and breathing guidance), emotional reassurance, and evidence-based information to help you feel safe and confident through your entire labor and postpartum transition.

The simplest way to look at it is clinical care vs. physical and emotional care.
A Midwife is a medical professional (like an OB/GYN) who delivers your baby, performs medical exams, monitors fetal heart rates, and manages your clinical safety.
A Doula has zero medical tasks. I do not check heart rates, perform clinical exams, or deliver babies. I am by your side the entire time to focus solely on your comfort, your choices, and helping your partner feel confident in how to support you. We work together beautifully as a team!

Studies consistently show that having continuous doula support completely changes the birth experience. Families who use a doula see significant benefits, including:
A 39% decrease in the likelihood of a Cesarean birth
A 35% reduction in overall negative birth experiences
Shorter labors by an average of 41 minutes
Higher rates of successful, confident breastfeeding and lower rates of postpartum anxiety at home

I want to make setting up your support as stress-free as possible for your family budget. I accept a wide variety of flexible payment options:
Credit/Debit Cards directly through my secure invoice portal.
HSA and FSA Debit Cards
Apple Pay, Cash App, or Cash

Yes, absolutely. I know doula support is a significant investment. My standard packages start with a $500 deposit to hold your spot on my calendar and lock in your on-call window. From there, we split the remaining balance into easy monthly installments that seamlessly wrap up right by your 36th week of pregnancy.

Many commercial insurance carriers (like UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, and Blue Cross Blue Shield) are expanding out-of-network reimbursement for doula care. While I do not bill insurance directly, I will provide you with an official itemized receipt (Superbill) containing all necessary medical coding (CPT and ICD-10 codes) along with my NPI number so you can easily submit it to your carrier for a potential rebate!
